Es economista y académico, ex ministro de Estado del presidente Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle y ex consejero del Banco Central de Chile, cargo que desempeñó entre 2003 y 2013 previa aprobación del Senado. Estudió ingeniería comercial en la Universidad de Chile y posteriormente obtuvo un doctorado en economía de la Universidad de Yale, en los Estados Unidos.
Manuel Marfán is an economist and academic, former Minister of State under President Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle and ex-councilor of the Banco Central de Chile, a position which he held between 2003 and 2013 with previous approval of the Senate. He studied commercial engineering at the Universidad de Chile and later obtained a doctor’s degree at the University of Yale, USA.
